If you've played any of Rusty Lake's games you'll know that they're rather eccentric, but I can only imagine what a short film would be like.
This is really happening! A short Rusty Lake movie is coming... together with a new game! We will need your help to kickstart this project. More info soon! pic.twitter.com/jzy6R2fcyM— Rusty Lake (@rustylakecom) January 29, 2018 Announced on Twitter yesterday, Rusty Lake showed off a blurred-out screenplay and pre-call to action. Not only is there a short film in the works but also another game, and obviously those won't fund themselves. There's no news on when the Kickstarter will be just yet, but we'll keep you updated when we know more.

As for information on the film or game themselves we know absolutely nothing aside from the fact they've been in the works for six months. For me, personally, I hope the film keeps its ultra-creepy vibe and carries it over into whatever form it'll take. I'd be stoked if it was animated like the games, but that's generally more difficult and costly than hiring a team of actors so it's a bit of a stretch.

Given the content of some of the games, especially the most recent, Paradise, I hope the film'll be for an older audience so the team can take it as far as they want. This is assuming that the film'll follow in line with the games, of course. Recent horror flicks like It Follows show that you don't need much to provide a thrilling experience, so I'm very excited to hear more about it.

How do you feel about Rusty Lake's new projects? What sort of short film are you hoping it'll be? Let us know in the comments below.

"I haven't seen any this spring, and I've missed them," said Anne, burying her face in them.
When Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes was announced at E3 earlier this year we were led to believe it is a card-based battler.

But, hm, looking at the game's debut trailer that doesn't seem to be the case. There isn't a single card in sight.

That said, it seems that Galaxy of Heroes will play more or less like a card-based battler. So we weren't that far off.

You'll be collecting heroes on either the Light or Dark side (you get to choose) to form a team of fighters.

Each hero has their own special attacks and some characters have abilities that complement each other. All of this should be considered when forming your team.

You also need to pay special attention to the leader of your squad. You can outfit them with gear to boost their damage and unlock special abilities to buff your team.

"It's so beautiful that it hurts me," said Anne softly. "Perfect things like that always did hurt me--I remember I called it `the queer ache' when I was a child. What is the reason that pain like this seems inseparable from perfection? Is it the pain of finality--when we realise that there can be nothing beyond but retrogression?"
A FATHER, being on the point of death, wished to be sure that his sons would give the same attention to his farm as he himself had given it. He called them to his bedside and said, "My sons, there is a great treasure hid in one of my vineyards." The sons, after his death, took their spades and mattocks and carefully dug over every portion of their land. They found no treasure, but the vines repaid their labor by an extraordinary and superabundant crop.

After its 2019 iOS release, Adducive has now brought the 3D word game Lexatetrahedra to Android.

Lexatetrahedra is a free mobile word game where players rotate tetrahedra marked with letters on a 3D space to spell the only word possible from those letters. As a result, you concentrate on just one word at a time as it draws upon a unique vocabulary filled with words not normally found in other word games. This is one for the Scrabble veterans.

It features 30 hand-crafted levels to play with no repeated puzzles, but for an added degree of replayability there’s also a Word of the Day puzzle that rotates every 24 hours so it suits itself well to short daily play sessions.

Lexatetrahedra also features a retro, ‘80s-themed aesthetic. I can’t quite pin down why, but it reminds me of the extremely colourful experimental gameshow aesthetic that appeared on TV several times during the ‘80s.

First released in 2019, Lexatetrahedra has a five-star rating on iOS. Brian Krause is the sole developer on the title, having developed the concept, code, graphics and sounds himself. He emphasised the game’s indie aspects by saying: "I am happy to be releasing my first Android app and thrilled to bring Lexatetrahedra to Android gamers.”

Krause founded Adducive in 1997 as a publishing firm specializing in mobile tech and user interface design. With decades of experience under his belt, Krause has worked on these areas with start-ups, major technology firms and non-profit organizations since then and has been developing for iOS since 2008. Lexatetrahedra is his first release on Android.

Lexatetrahedra is available for Google Play for Android, or you can grab last year’s iOS App Store release here. It’s free and supported by ads.
Like puzzle games? Then you’ll love this list we’ve put together of the best ones available on Android.
